In every age men and women have bedecked and bejeweled their bodies. The desire to adorn the body with colorful cosmetics, costly jewelry, and eye-catching clothes has left few untouched. Thus, it is not surprising that our survey found, throughout Biblical and Christian history, frequent calls to dress modestly and decently, without glittering jewelry or luxurious clothes. Such a call is especially relevant today when modesty and decency are out, and nudity and sensuality are in.

http://www.eshakti.com/default.aspx This is a most interesting clothing site. I looked up skirts and I could say I wanted mid calf on everything. On most of the dresses I could get 3/4 or elbow sleeves, mid calf . So I think it is definitely worth taking a look at this shop because one can customize the dresses and skirts and tops to fit their level of modesty.
As you can see you can customize a dress to your level of modesty. I find this just great.
I've asked for many prayers for the Anglican Catholic church I was in that is basically a dying church. So it looks like I may end up being Orthodox Catholic which works I think better for me. I love the rosary and I am so happy to be in a church that loves it too. Please pray for my husband and I as we seek what the will of our Lord is for us and our family.
I wanted to share this lovely Mennonite blog. It is very well done and covers everything from modest dress to family and being a Titus 2 woman. I hope you will enjoy this blog as much as I and my husband have. My husband loves her saying. "If you think my hands are full you should see my heart" Lovely

https://www.colettepatterns.com/ This is a new to me pattern company. and while not every pattern is modest to me there are a few dresses that are very modest and look very feminine and lovely. Some probably could be made to look modest by making into a jumper dress over a blouse. And remember, when sewing you can always make sleeves longer and skirts longer. This pattern company is supposed to be friendly to new sewers. So click the link above and find your perfect modest pattern.
My husband purchased a slip for me and it was very well made and fit me perfectly. One of the hardest things to find is a real good slip. A good slip keeps the clothes modest by not allowing see through when one walks in the bright light. This is the only one I have found that had good coverage on the chest area as well as the lower half. It fits well because it has darts and snaps up the front and comes up high enough to cover the chest area. I just love it and hope you ladies will get your own and love it too.
After reading George Vergara's article in the Old Paths Advocate concerning Christian apparel, I asked him if he would consider making a tract from it. George agreed, and after adding some thoughts to his original article, this tract is the result. Since George expressed so vividly and tactfully the sentiment of many Christians, I should like to see this tract in the hands of every child of God. Even though some have rebelliously decided to wear what pleases themselves rather than God, we sincerely believe that there are many who do not realize how a Christian should dress. It is our earnest prayer that you will consider carefully the principles expressed in God's word, which are presented in this tract. --Tony Melton

I think her article shows how much feminism can be so negative. I also understand how she felt negative about her treatment in Churches. I myself had left Christ for many years because of the abuse I had taken. I urge Christians to think about their behaviors. We send many good people away from Christ by our negative and unGodly behavoirs. It took a Christian praying constantly for four years before I came back to Christ.
This is an article that tries to define feminism. As she says, it is not an easy thing to define. But I think she does a good job of creating an understanding.
“Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.” ~ Proverbs 14:1
Pinning feminism down to a single definition is extremely difficult, if not impossible. There are almost as many definitions for feminism today as there are feminists, since many of the men and women involved in feminist issues disagree philosophically, theologically, and over the application of their beliefs.
Webster’s dictionary defines feminism thus:
fem·i·nism Function: noun Date: 1895 1 : the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes 2 : organized activity on behalf of women’s rights and interests
What has happened to the concept of “growing old gracefully?” You’ve probably read a lot of “what-is-this-world-coming-to” articles about the unfeminine and immodest appearance of young women, but have you taken a good look at the older women lately? From a distance, most of them cannot be distinguished from old men. The typical “older woman” uniform seems to consist either of combat pants and boots, tee shirts, shaved hair styles, and expensive manicures or jogging suits and/or spandex.
