Merry Christmas

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. And like I always tell my son when he ask,"What am I going to get for Christmas?", the Lord Jesus Christ. We all get the Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins. Blessings to everyone.

Favorite Things patterns

http://www.favoritethings.net/patterns/overview

This is not really a modest pattern site but they have some cute feminine patterns that can be modified to be modest. Like some of the dresses can be made modest by wearing a blouse under it. All of them can have the skirts and sleeves made longer to be modest. Some of the skirts are already maxi length. They have wonderful feminine jackets and a nice cape. They also have slipper patterns, some household stuff, and bags too.

Lydia of Purple

http://www.lydiaofpurple.com/

Here was a cleaver woman who created a riding skirt that was full enough to ride horses astride and be modest too. It is sad she is closing her business because of a death in the family. Perhaps one of you will purchase it and keep it going.

PHILIPPA "Lover of Horses" "Please note: Skirt only"

True CIRCULAR Skirt only. Our best horse-back riding skirt or outing skirt we have found. My girls like it because it covers their legs and YES they ride horses with this skirt as you can see. It has a waistband with back seam zipper, no belt included. Customer supplies fabric of choice. If wanting denim use only light weight, heavy will feel as if it is hanging on your hips. As you can see in the picture that skirt can even cover part of the horse.

Sizes 6 - 8 - 10 - 12 6 yards fabric
Sizes 14 - 16 - 18 7 1/2 yards

The Veil

http://www.catholicmodesty.com/The_Veil.pdf

This article will be of interest to Roman Catholic ladies and perhaps others. It is about how many misunderstandings happened in regards to the veil and how women just stopped wearing them. Interestingly, one of the elders in my church said a Bishop had forbidden veiling because women took to wearing extremely fancy hats. Sadly, I feel he just should have told the ladies not to wear fancy hats not to stop having women cover all together.
